GPR Training Academy is a 51% black owned company, established in 2014 as an extension of the training division at GP Retail Operations.
With their accumulative experience in the field of training and development, the managers, facilitators, assessors and moderators have proven to be a force to be reckoned with. An total of 974 students have enrolled in full qualification learnerships with 104 deaf learners enrolled in the disabled category.
Our relationship with the W & R SETA is an accrual of more than a decade of liaison and quality assurance, and we are proud to be one of their valued stakeholders. Quality assurance and compliance is one of the key factors in the academy and we strive for excellence in these fields.
The focus of the academy is on NQF level 1, 2 and 3 learners and the fields of specialisation is aimed at these levels within the industry. However, learners on level 4 and 5 have also been enrolled on specific programmes, which includes full qualification learnerships. Disabled learners, specifically within the deaf community, is one of the main facets for the academy and the addition of a full-time SA sign language interpreter has aided the further development of this field.
